Companions touched by ebb from the hot volcano of Terenui will change to the Fire Type. Their pelts become a slightly iridescent dark brown, and are accented by light beige, orange, and red-orange streaks. Typically, Fire Types gain more energy and persistence with their change.
Reportedly, the only way to change to Fire Type is by drinking a specially formulated mixture of tepid lava and trapped ebb. This is a rare concoction that can only be crafted by masters or bought at a hefty price, due to the difficulty of obtaining both ebb and lava, and keeping it at a consumable temperature before the lava hardens.
